Easy Chicken n' Dumplings
Buy the store brand refrigerator biscuits that are around a dollar now...used to be so much less than that!! Several stores offer their brand in a pack of 4 cans of biscuits for about $3.50.
1 can cream of chicken soup
2 soup cans of water
1/4 to 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
few shakes of pepper
1 can (10 biscuits) refrigerator biscuits
____________________________
1 can (5 oz.) chicken, do not drain
In a pot: cream soup, 2 soup cans of water, garlic powder and pepper; stir and start heating on medium. While that is coming to a full boil, cut each of the refrigerator biscuits into 8 to 10 pieces, do not mash them, cut gently with a serrated knife. When soup mixture is boiling: add the cut pieces a few at a time, stir gently to cover all. The reason to put them in a few at a time is to make sure the biscuit pieces are not sticking together. When all of the cut biscuits are in the soup mixture, cover the pot, turn heat to low, let cook covered for 10 to 12 minutes.....do not uncover while this cooks. When biscuits are done, take pot off heat, stir in the can of undrained chicken, cover, let sit for 5 minutes. Ready to enjoy! Makes 3 to 5 servings.
