Best Carrots on the side

An easy healthy way to make a yummy side of carrots.

 

1 lb. fresh carrots

2 to 4 T. real maple syrup and/or brown sugar

about 2 T. butter

few shakes of sea salt

 

Peel, slice, cook carrots; then drain. (Can save the carrot water to add to vegetable broth). Melt butter in a fry pan; add drained carrots. Stir in syrup or brown sugar and salt. Cook, stir as needed, let the carrots get browned to your preference. So tasty!!
