So Easy, So Very Inexpensive Enchilada Sauce
Never will need to buy the expensive canned enchilada sauce again!
8 oz. tomato sauce + 3 cans water
2 T. chili powder
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
1/2 tsp. onion salt
1/4 to 1/2 tsp. ground cumin
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 to 3 T. flour
2 T. oil
Boil the tomato sauce/water in a saucepan. Meanwhile, mix chili powder, garlic salt, onion salt, cumin, pepper, flour. Whisk into saucepan while the mixture is boiling. Take off heat. Will slightly thicken as it cools. Stir in the oil.
(Very easy to add to, or change, the amounts of spices to your own taste)
